ilegx hosts the first interdisciplinary consensus summit addressing definitions, diagnosis, prevention and definitive management of leg/foot tissue loss covering all vascular and non-vascular causes.
In the inaugural year we are expecting 300-400 delegates
An interdisciplinary and international faculty will work towards an algorithm/pathway for the diagnosis and management of leg/foot tissue loss under the directorship of,

Michael Edmonds, Diabetologist, King's College, London, UK
Dieter Mayer, Vascular Surgeon & Head of Wound Care, Zürich, Switzerland
Gunnar Tepe, Interventional Radiologist, Tübingen, Germany
The comprehensive programme scope attracts an unprecedented large variety of medical disciplines, e.g. vascular specialists, diabetologists, endocrinologists, wound care specialists, neurologists, orthopaedics, podiatrists, dermatologists, plastic surgeons to name but a few.

The summit will develop recommendations on how to treat as an interdisciplinary team as well as how to manage an interdisciplinary team which spans the acute and community boundaries After the summit the ilegx project continues. ilegx will use the summits insights and learnings to roll out clinical programmes to build disease awareness on leg/foot tissue loss.
